Carlton Brewster is a hard worker who has a passion and love for adolescents. He helps install a positive attitude in today’s youth, while working to improve students who struggle in academics.
Currently, he is an Engagement Specialist through Godfrey Lee, and works directly with students on a weekly basis while assisting to improve their academics, attendance, attitude, life skills and behavior. Carlton is also a part of a non-profit organization called Grand C.I.T.Y. Sports. Which is community driven organization designed to restore and refocus the at-risk youth, by emphasizing education through sports.
Carlton is going on 5 years of coaching High School Varsity Wide Receivers. He possesses a strong passion and love for sports, football in particular, and makes himself available to his players when needed. Throughout the years, he has helped 10 Wide Receivers reach the collegiate level.
Carlton Brewster grew up in the inner city of Grand Rapids, MI. There were distractions all throughout his childhood, but Carlton managed to use Sports as a drive to get him to where he is today. Carlton Brewster was a two-sport star athlete at Creston High School, and was the first Quarterback in the city-league to lead his team to a State Championship, while holding the all passing record. With numerous football scholarships offered to him, Carlton chose to play at Ferris State University. While his time at FSU, he was recorded as the #2 All-Time Leader in receiving yards, catches, and 3rd in TD’s, and was a Three-Time All Conference nominee, Two-Time All Region, and made several All-American Teams. From college, Carlton had the opportunity to play for several teams in the NFL for 2 ½ years.
While still focusing on his degree, he managed to complete his Bachelor’s in Integrative Studies, and he completed his Master’s in Education Leadership.
