Carlton Brewster, a man of faith, hardworking, and dedication. He is a good friend of mind and teammate. Brewster and i have known each other for many of years, even before college. So we both really got to see each other grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Brewster is a true man of character and will do anything to help the next person, but he is a true believer in HARDWORK!!
With the blessing of Carlton Brewster, when asked to speak at Gerald R. Ford Job Corps to about 20-30 at risk males he did not hesitate to say, yes. Job Corps is a program for young at risk adults males and females 16-24 years old trying to finish up their high school or get a GED.
Also they are offered a career technical trade, and help with job placement. Brewster spoke on the topic of, Adversity. I felt this would be a great topic for someone like Brewster to speak upon because all of the things he went through just to get to where he is at now shows a lot of faith, and hardwork. Having an outstanding football career at the high school, college, and even having an opportunity at the professional level, shows great reward for someone who dealt with adversity and stood strong through it all. As Brewster move forward in life with his contributions in the community I know God will watch over people like him and show them favor in many ways.
God Bless You and Your Family!
